JOOR launched in 2011 as a platform for buyers and brands to place orders without relying on printed line sheets. Bijoor, a former fashion buyer and strategist from the fashion industry, bootstrapped the company, self-funding for a year before raising capital. Presently its product offering includes a brand mobile application, a retailer assortment planning application, a website for brands and retailers to interact, and a suite of integration features.
JOOR's clients include approximately 1,500 brands and more than 155,000 retailers, including Bergdorf Goodman and Saks, Inc. in New York and Harrods in London, as well as the conglomerates LMVH, Kering, Richemont, VF Corporation, Kate Spade, and Kellwood Company. In 2015, JOOR processed more than $7 billion in transactions.
